The kitchen of this suburban terraced home is located in the conservatory extension, added some years previously.  As its owner contemplated a total refresh of the space, it felt important to make it feel more like a garden room, albeit one that happened to have a kitchen, dining, and bar area within it.

The architecture – complex timbers and extensive glazing with stained glass detail – now takes centre stage, framing the greenery of the garden beyond.  A colour palette of pale, warm neutrals allows the light to work to its best advantage.  Meanwhile, the modern kitchen cabinetry was chosen for understated impact, with the expanse of stone worktop being the major flourish.

A cluster of contemporary glass pendants focus attention over a relaxed dining area:  a rejuvenating place to spend time, whether enjoying morning croissants or a nightcap from the bar.
